Hexarelin (Hexarelin Acetate) is a synthetic hexapeptide which belongs to the growth factor family that is known to stimulate the release of growth hormone (GH). Hexarelin is also known as Examorelin and often, these two names are used interchangeably. Though Hexarelin stimulates the release of GH, it is known to not impact the ability to produce GH. Hexarelin is structured similarly to GHRP-6. Hexarelin is a synthetic growth hormone secretagogue made by using six different amino acids. Hexarelin helps to release powerful growth hormone properties in the human body. In studies, the use of Hexarelin over a specified period has led to a reduction in visceral fat. Like other Growth Hormone Releasing Peptides, Hexarelin is most effective synergistically if used with a GHRH such as Sermorelin or Modified GRF 1-29.
Increasing the circulation of GH through use of Hexarelin causes levels of Insulin-Like Growth Factor 1 (IGF-1) to rise. The continued use of Hexarelin also increases plasma levels of growth hormone (GH) in animals and humans.In addition, similarly to pralmorelin (GHRP-2) and GHRP-6, Hexarelin slightly stimulates the release of prolactin, adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), and cortisol in humans. There are many different conflicting reports on the ability of examorelin to elevate (IGF-1) and insulin-like growth factor-binding protein 1 (IGFBP-1) levels in humans. Some studies have found no increase and other studies have found a slight, yet statistically significant increase. Studies have also shown that Examorelin does not impact plasma levels of glucose, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), or thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) in humans.
Hexarelin releases more GH than growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) in humans and produces synergistic effects on GH release in combination with GHRH. Choosing to administer a combination of these two can result in massive increases of plasma GH levels even if you choose to only administer small doses of Hexarelin. If one chooses to pre-administer GH, it can blunt the GH-releasing effect of examorelin, while fully abolishing the effect of GHRH. Pre-treatment with IGF-1 is also known to blunt the GH-elevating effect of examorelin.
